[Improtant Notice] Sela Network Node App v0.2.1 Update

We have released a new version of the Sela Network Node App: v0.2.1.
This update fixes an issue where some users experienced Principal IDs and referral codes being reset or changed unexpectedly.

To ensure stable and accurate node operation,
all users are required to download and reinstall v0.2.1 from the Sela Network website.

1. What’s fixed in v0.2.1

• Fixed a bug where some users’ Principal IDs were being reset or changed

• Fixed a bug where referral codes and referral data were being reset or lost

• Improved stability to prevent point calculation issues caused by these errors

2. Why a fresh reinstall is required

This version is not just a minor patch –
it is the new baseline version for correctly handling Principal IDs and referral codes.

If you keep using an older version:

• Your node may not track points and referrals correctly.

Therefore, all node operators must reinstall and run v0.2.1.

How to update

1. Go to the official website: https://selanetwork.io

2. Download Node App v0.2.1 for your OS (Windows / Mac), then install v0.2.1

3. Log in with the same account as before

3. Recovery of reset points and referral codes

For users affected by this bug, where:

• Points appear to have been reset, or

• Referral codes and referral history appear to be missing,

we will restore all affected points and referral data based on our internal logs.

• We are currently finalizing the exact recovery schedule, and

• Once it is confirmed, we will share a separate announcement with the details.

Our goal is that no one loses their earned participation due to this bug, and we are preparing to restore the data as accurately as possible.

If you still experience issues after updating:

• Your node does not connect properly, or

• Your points/referral information still looks incorrect
