We are releasing a new version of the Sela Network Node App: v0.2.0.

This update is a major step for:

More accurate and fair Sela Points distribution

Stronger protection against invalid or low-quality data

Preparing for new features like search-based tasks and richer campaign data

To keep the network healthy, all node operators must upgrade to v0.2.0.

nodes running older versions will: No longer be able to connect to the Sela Network, and Stop earning Sela Points

Improvements in v0.2.0 This version focuses on data quality, reliability, and future features:

More reliable campaign and rewards data The node now has a stronger understanding of where and how it is running, which helps us filter out invalid or abusive traffic and reward real contributors more accurately.

Stronger verification of connected Twitter accounts We have reinforced the checks around Twitter account status so that rewards are tied to valid, healthy accounts instead of broken or misconfigured ones.

Better compatibility and stability across devices and OS The app handles different device/OS environments more robustly, reducing edge cases where nodes silently fail or stop contributing.

Foundation for new features such as search-powered tasks v0.2.0 lays the groundwork for Google Search–based tasks and other new campaign types, which will open more earning opportunities for node operators.

Mandatory upgrade policy From 2025-12-08 00:00 (UTC)

Nodes running below v0.2.0 will: Be blocked from connecting to the Sela Network, and Stop earning Sela Points

To continue contributing and earning, you must upgrade your node to v0.2.0.

Download the latest Node App v0.2.0 for your OS (Windows / Mac).

Install v0.2.0 and log in with the same account, if not yet connected

Connect your node and you are done

Q1. Why do I need to reinstall the node each time? A. v0.2.0 includes low-level changes to how the node interacts with your device and accounts. For now, a clean install is the most reliable way to avoid conflicts. Our long-term goal is to make future upgrades smoother.

Q2. What happens if I don’t upgrade to v0.2.0? A. Once older versions are not supported, your node will not connect to the network and will not earn any Sela Points.
